Invitation to Environmental Noise Conference “Are we ready for noise?”
taking place on 17-18 January in Tallinn University of Technology
One of the least discussed topics is noise – environmental noise. Noise
causes stress for people. Stress in turn causes cardiovascular
diseases. Where should noise barriers be located and why there? How our
neighbor countries have developed and what have kind of claims does the
EU noise and vibration directive make for us?
Answers to all these questions are provided in the Environmental Noise Conference “Are we ready for noise?” taking place on 17-18 January 2008 in Tallinn University of Technology.
The conference is international and is the first one to take place on
this topic in Estonia. The presenters are acknowledged noise experts
from Europe, our neighbour countries and Estonia. All local government
and public department specialists, who deal with limitation of noise
distribution or have to prevent it, are welcome to the conference; for
example officials, architects, health protection officials, designers,
builders and other people who are connected with design, construction,
